Lure Modules are items that can be deployed at Pokéstops, where they, as suggested by their name, lure Pokémon. One Lure Module remains active for 30 minutes, and during this time attracts 5-10 (or even more) Pokémon to the Pokéstop. Sounds a lot like Incense, doesn’t it? Well, Lure Modules attract Pokémon to a stationary location, but this location is a Pokéstop and not the location of the trainer who used the Lure Module. And to top it all off, EVERY single trainer in the immediate vicinity of the Pokéstop where a Lure Module is deployed and active can take advantage of it and catch the Pokémon that are drawn to it. However, a Lure Module can’t be used like other items, which can be accessed and then activated by tapping on the Pokéball > Items > the item you want to activate > the floating image of the item you want to activate.
