According to the article from GSMArena, there is some news from the Broadcom front. Broadcom is a company responsible for providing many of the components that sit inside the iPhone. In January, this was the company given the order worth about 15 Billion Dollars. According to the source, they are responsible for making the WiFi and the Bluetooth modules for the phones. This year, they’d be making the 5G modules as well (previously these were 4G ones). Coming back to the source, the CEO commented on the timeline of the upcoming devices. While the delay was previously mentioned and rumoured, the company’s executive gave further detail into the specifics of it. He claims that the device and its design, decided specs are to remain the same. Although, the delivery date is to be pushed back to the fourth quarter of the year. Usually, this is in the third quarter. The September announcement and October release are usually how they go about it. Now, they claim that while the COVID-19 spread accounts for the delay, it is the new technicals that pushed the production back a bit as well. Now, given the additional time, let’s see how Apple hypes the product, works towards advertising it enough to not lose its customers.
