— 9to5Mac.com (@9to5mac) June 21, 2020 According to an article from 9to5Mac, the website looks into a report from Kuo, a reliable source in the past for Apple news. According to the source, they believe Apple could be launching an ARM-powered chip by early 2021. It may seem far off right now but do know that this is just about 7-8 months away. Yes. We know that Apple is preparing for a redesigned iMac announcement and while some people believed that this would be the first device for the ARM-based chip, it may just be Apple’s last with the Intel chips. According to the report, the first device would be a 13.3 inch MacBook Pro next year and the new iMac would soon to follow. These newer devices could showcase performance gains by about 50-100%. That is all theoretical though. One thing is for certain though, it would make the production line quite smooth, having everything in-house. Perhaps this is the transition that makes a big difference for Apple devices. We would know for sure in the months to come.
