Now Nvidia is making sure that it stays ahead of the competition by launching its industry-first game ready drivers for the new DirectX 12 Ultimate API. DirectX API works as a middle-man between the gaming hardware and the games you play. The new iteration of the API serves to bridge the gap between features and programming for both PC and consoles (mainly Xbox Series X). DX12 Ultimate introduces a feature called hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, which gives GPU the sole control over the video memory to allow for improved gaming performance. Only Nvidia’s RTX GPUs with the new update can benefit from the feature for now. For Nvidia, it does not end at supporting a feature introduced by windows, as it is indicated by the statement issued by Nvidia’s Senior Program Manager Sean Pelletier. It says “At NVIDIA, DirectX 12 Ultimate support is more than a checkbox, it is an assurance that we have done the work necessary to give our customers a complete product with a feature set that can move the industry forward.” You can download the game ready and studio drivers via the link here.
