A few weeks ago, PlayStation hosted a “Road to PS5” live stream that was meant to display technical specifications and the next-gen features of PS5, such as the 3D sound system. The presentation was filled with technical jargon and was not well received by the community in general. The custom SSD and the new Tempest engine for 3D audio were the highlights of the stream. Fast forward to a few days ago, PlayStation announced that the PS5 reveal event will take place on June 4th (this Thursday). The market pundits were speculating that the hour-long presentation will be enough to take PlayStation back into the game. Especially after the mishap in the Xbox event that did not cover gameplays (as promised) of the next-gen titles. Unfortunately, the presentation has been delayed indefinitely.

It is related to the tragic death of George Floyd that resulted in protests all over America. SONY is not the only company that is delaying its online events due to the incident. EA delayed the Madden NFL 21 event earlier due to the same reason.
