A 17-minute long video posted onto YouTube by Gamer Felonies highlights what appears to be a work-in-progress build of Rainbow Six Siege’s fourth season. It’s a very shaky video so it’s hard to decipher what exactly is going on, but fortunately Reddit user PapaCapinya put all the important observations in one, neat post. There’s no doubt that the footage seen in the video is authentic, and the leaker in question is known for their previous works such as the Grand Larceny arcade event.

Scout

Moving onto the operators themselves, season 3 introduces a new Splinter Cell-themed attacker. According to the leak, Scout’s loadout consists of the MP7 and the SC3000 primary weapons. The attacker’s primary gadget appears to be a launcher of some sort. The video doesn’t clearly showcase its usage, but it appears to fire a drone of some sort. This lines up with other leaks pointing to a “drilled camera that sees through walls.”

Aruni

Codenamed Aruni, season 4’s Thai defender is shaping up to one of Rainbow Six Siege’s most interesting operators. As seen in the video, the female operator is the first defender to wield a DMR. While it may just be a placeholder for now, the leak showcases Aruni using Dokkaebi’s Mk14 EBR long-range rifle. Oh, and she also has a “robotic arm” that can destroy barricades and other soft surfaces. Her gadget is also fairly unique; the Surya Gate is a type of laser mechanism that can be placed on entrances. It’s functionality isn’t exactly clear, but it seems to be an additional layer of defense that attackers will need to bypass if they want to open up new angles. As with all leaks, take this new information with a pinch of salt. We’re still far away from the reveal, let alone the release of season 3 and 4, so it’s likely that Ubisoft will change a number of things along the way. In the meantime, expect Operation Steel Wave to launch in the coming days.
