As noted in the patch notes addendum, Operation Crimson Heist is a little different than what we saw on the test server. Flores, the new Argentinian attacker, has had his explosive drone nerfed. The RCE-Ratero’s explosion radius has been reduced from 4 meters to 3 meters, and lethal range from 2 meters to 1.5 meters. “This change was designed to encourage players to develop a focused strategy when using the RCE-Ratero Charge, as a smaller explosion radius requires accuracy,” explains Ubisoft. “This change reduces the radius by only 25%. However, the surface covered by the RCE-Ratero Charge explosion is reduced by almost 50%, and the total volume of the explosion is reduced by more than 50%.” Another big addition of Crimson Heist is the highly-anticipated match replay feature. As the system is still in its early stages, expect to run into issues more than once. While the major bugs such as game crashes have been ironed out, there are a few issues that need to be addressed. With Operation Crimson Heist on the test server, Ubisoft had also begun trialing a new data center for the Middle East region. If deployed, the new servers would increase accessibility for a lot of players in the area. Unfortunately, the servers were not brought to the live version of the game with the season launch. At this time Ubisoft has not provided an estimated time of release. Operation Crimson Heist for Rainbow Six Siege is live now. The patch size is 10 GB on Steam, 33.2 GB (Non-HD) and 58.9 GB (HD) on Ubisoft Connect, 17.2 GB on Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X, and around 25 GB for PlayStation 4 and 5.
