Here’s the video of the new operators and the hard breaching gadget in action (via u/Zer0Bytes_):
Secondary Hard Breach Gadget
The first we officially heard of a new secondary gadget for Rainbow Six Siege’s attackers was during the Year 5 panel at the start of the year. Ubisoft acknowledged its existence, but didn’t go into any details about its functionality. As we can see in the video above, the new gadget takes a while to deploy, and is capable of opening up holes in reinforced walls similar to Thermite, Hibana, Maverick, and the new Ace.
Scout
Scout is a new attacking operator headed to Rainbow Six Siege in season 3 of this year. According to the leaked video, the new operator brings with him a unique new Drill Camera gadget as well as a new primary weapon. The SC3000K is a new “forward ejecting bullpup rifle chambered in .300 Blackout”, and is the first new weapon to be added to Rainbow Six Siege in a long time. As for his Drill Camera gadget, it appears it can fire small cameras that stick to (and potentially drill through) surfaces and provide a night vision view. In addition, they can fire darts which deal damage both friendly and enemy operators.
Aruni
Aruni is the Thai defender coming with season 4 of year 5. With a robotic arm, a strong loadout, and an extremely unique gadget, she is already shaping up to be the game’s most interesting operator. As seen in the video, Aruni is the first defender to have a DMR with a long-range scope on defense. Not only that, she can punch holes through surfaces with ease and her Laser Reinforcement gadget can block off routes for attackers. As always, all of this information is based on leaks, so take it with a grain of salt. Since the new content is in very early development, it’s highly likely that Ubisoft will change some, if not most of what we saw in the video.
