According to a report from Sam Mobile, Samsung is going to relocate most of its PC display production facilities to Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex in Vietnam. It would mean that the production facilities that manufacture the displays for PC would close down by the end of this year. The display engineers of the hardware giant aim to produce more than 40 SKUs in its computer monitor range, which will be pushed into production in the production facilities in Vietnam. It would mean that the consumers in the South Asian region will get considerably better deals on these monitors not to mention timely releases. The report asserts that the global situation has not affected its plans as many of the display engineers have already reached Vietnam, although the country is in lockdown. It shows how strong Samsung’s ambitions are to establish a strong market in Southeast Asian countries. It would also allow Samsung to expand its reach further, which would make Vietnam the world’s leading supplier of Samsung displays.
