Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars: Squadrons is a new game in the franchise featuring both a fully-fledged single player story and a 5v5 multiplayer component. As suggested by the title, the game puts players in control of iconic starfighters such as the X-Wing and the TIE Fighter. Players can engage in online battles in a variety of customizable starfighters. With a first-person perspective and the ability to control each aspect of your ship, dogfights in Star Wars: Squadrons are shaping up to be a great immersive experience. EA says that Star Wars: Squadrons has a progression system which allows players to unlock rewards as they play through the game. Everything from simple cosmetics to new components like weapons, hulls, engines, and shields can be unlocked to keep the gameplay “fresh and engaging.” Star Wars: Squadrons hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 2nd, 2020. The PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game will feature virtual reality support as well. There’s also cross-play functionality implemented from day one, so console and PC players will be able to play together. Head here for a detailed look at the system requirements on PC.
