So, a sequel or a full reboot of the series is long overdue. In an interview with IGN, the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal (in 2013) talked about how the Prince of Persia series is still alive for Ubisoft, and they are just taking their time. He said, “I’m not scared at all for Prince of Persia fans. We’ll find something to entertain them with in the future. Prince of Persia is part of Ubisoft’s portfolio.” It was enough to create the hype, but Ubisoft was quick to announce that no Prince of Persia game was in works at that time. However, this time around, the leaks are promising. The full listing of the Prince of Persia Remake for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 has already made rounds around the internet. Now, another credible source from the Video Game Chronicles suggests that Ubisoft may reveal the new game during its upcoming Ubisoft Forward. The event will also feature Immortals Fenyx Rising, another game from Ubisoft that has already been leaked. However, the Prince of Persia Remake would be the highlight of the event. The online-only event will take place on the 10th of September.
