“Today is a special day, as we welcome some of the most accomplished studios in the games industry to Xbox.” Phil Spencer wrote In blog. “We are thrilled to announce Microsoft has entered into an agreement to acquire ZeniMax Media, parent company of Bethesda Softworks.” The Microsoft blog notes that Bethesda has always had a special place at Xbox. That is because they brought their first console games to the Original Xbox. Microsoft Studious and Bethesda have worked together since the first Doom. In addition, Bethesda was one of the first true supports of Xbox Game Pass and brought their games to the subscription service. Other than their relations, here are a few things that will happen after this announcement. Firstly, Iconic Franchises by Bethesda will be joining Game Pass for both Console and PC. Secondly, a lot of unannounced games will be joining both platforms. Thirdly, announced games like Starfield will join both PC and Xbox. For the future though, Bethesda will receive tremendous resources and support from Microsoft. This will help scale their “creative visions”, and develop more new games for Xbox and PC. We Previously anticipated that Microsoft would be acquiring Destiny 2 Bungie. However, we were wrong and Microsoft has acquired a different studio. In the future, we might be seeing more Studios. Xbox Boss Phil Spencer said that they won’t stop acquiring new studious for team green. He also claimed that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella guaranteed full backing, and she was also In favor of this of roadmap.
